AXALP 2022

The Axalp Fliegerschiessen in 2022 delivered unbelivable flight demonstrations against the stunning backdrop of the Swiss Alps at the Ebenflue. Swiss fighter jets and Swiss Air Force helicopter showcased their skills with precise maneuvers and thunderous flybys — a spectacular blend of technology, speed, and alpine nature.

This gallery captures the impressive moments and unique atmosphere of one of Europe’s most fascinating aviation events. With its usual precision, the Swiss Air Force impressively demonstrates the capabilities of the Boeing F/A-18C Hornets, the performance of the Super Cougar helicopters, the operational capabilities of the Eurocopter EC635 helicopters, the red Pilatus PC-21 training aircraft, and the acrobatic precision of the world-famous Swiss aerobatic team, Patrouille Suisse.
The Special Forces Command also impressively demonstrated its capabilities and kept the audience on the edge of their seats.
A personal highlight was the brief visit of two Italian Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II.
